How close is Iran?

Iran is close to having a nuclear warhead. Whether it’s months away or two years away is of some doubt, but there’s no doubt it is speeding production as fast as it can. If you were leading Iran, wouldn’t you, too – given this administration’s bellicose foreign policy? Consider: America and the Bushies are occupying your nemisis neighbor, Iraq. They’re also occupying your neighbor on your eastern side, Afghanistan. They have made a close ally in your other age-old enemy neighbor, Pakistan. And they’ve cozied up to India, nearby, and allowed India to get even more nuclear fuel without signing the non-proliferation agreement. You’re surrounded by the US or allies of the US. And Bush early on named you part of the Axis of Evil – along with Iraq. You see what the Bushies did to Iraq. You want to have your own bomb. If and when you have it, the world will be much less safe and stable. But, sad to say, you’re not behaving irrationally.
